{mother's day every day}

my kids were so excited to give me breakfast in bed. they were so cute about it.
i heard so much crashing & banging from down.stairs. i wanted to get up so bad
but, i was warned. i guess it was my sign to have never got outta bed.
i wish i had pictures...
breakfast menu: peanut butter toast, cheerios, O.J., bananas & a brownie.
[yummy yes, but you should've seen the kitchen] yikes.
but, when garrett said, did you love the toast & O.J.... i bwought it to you. i got a huge smile, gave them all hugs & they helped me clean up the kitchen with.out even fighting or whining.

then there was church.
we all wore RED. don't know why.
 we just all matched.
we were without Nate.
he was on.call a
24 hour shift.
he had been working pretty much all
weekend.
then the flowers they give out after
sacrament meeting.
Garrett stepped on mine.
pretty much dead.
then Dinner.
we had it at my friend Sarah's house.
her husband was out.of.town.
7 kids running around screaming & running around wild.
Sarah & I scarfed down dinner. the kids were getting tired.
we did the dishes & cleaned up.
the kids played Dance Party on the Wii
& munched on the gummy bears i made them
for their ["name cards"]
then we called it a night

I love being a mom
and I do love my kids
but, well, some days are harder than others.
i got the kids in bed.
brushed teeth, said prayers,
no books that night.
i thought everyone was asleep.
nope,
Audra was wide awake screaming her guts out.
let me tell ya people. i am SOOOOOOOOOO sorry if any of your babies have
had colic. what the heck??!??!?!
i don't know what her deal was. she was crying from
10 til midnight. i was walking my halls up & down up & down.
[i think i burned off dinner.]
then she fell asleep from midnight til 12:45am
she was up again & i was walking the hall with her til 3:00am
then she slept til 3:30am & once again i was walking the halls with her
til 5:00am.
she finally fell asleep at 5:00am & slept til
7:30am.
kind.of.a.all.around.no.good.day.
if i am being honest.

Nate finally made it home, the next morning at
11:30 am.
we were equally exhausted.
then it starts all over again..
Mother's day every day!
i wouldn't trade it for anything
not even the new bread box
nate surprised me with. :)

My Ana had colic and I cried right along with her! The horrible thing was everyone else around me had happy QUIET babies ALL THE TIME!!!! I am still surprised we had Olivia even swearing up and down I will never go thru another baby again! Thankfully I was wrong and Liv was the perfect baby that Ana was not. Ana has since made up for it and is the sweetest little girl I could ever hope for! Good luck...it will end eventually :)

Ugh! sounds exhausting! That baby stage is so exhausting by itself. Then add to it, a three year old, and two kids with school, and homework, and practices, and friends, and a husband that is ridiculously busy.... That is enough to send you to the grave!
Hang in there, and if all else fails, jamba juice is always there, and so am I! luv you...

Well, it was definitely memorable! Sorry your husband wasn't with you. I feel bad blogging about my nice, relaxing mother's day!

My babies were cryers. Especially Julia!! She somehow miraculously settled down pretty well at night, but the other 18 hours, she wasn't very happy! If you could remove all sleep issues, motherhood would be SO much easier! Can you imagine if you were always well rested and if babies and kids always slept through the night?

Kate had colic. . . . BAADDD! Hands down the hardest time of my life. You bring your baby over and let her cry here while you get a sanity break. Seriously tomorrow bring her over!
